I had the honor of photographing this little guy’s Upshernish (inaugural hair cutting ceremony) this week! In the Jewish tradition the boys do not receive their first haircut until their third birthday, and it’s a big ceremony where everyone gets to cut a piece of his hair! This also begins the child’s formal education and when they are alloed to start wearing yarmulke and tzitzis. Here’s a few family pictures we grabbed before the ceremony. I had so much fun with this sweet family. And how adorable is he!?
